It may be common for bats to be taken by boas in some areas but it's not common for boas to eat bats. How can this be? Law of averages. There are few bat habitats that are suitable for bat catching if you are a boa. At any given such location there will only be a couple of boas in the area compared to the multitudes elsewhere out hunting rats. Most boas don't hang out in bat caves. Finding one there now and then is just fining one now and then. It's like an Indian restaurant. Sure some Americans eat there now and then...but it's hardly a favorite American cuisine.

Hey I like Indian food...I just wish I knew what was in it.

But yeah I totally agree that most boas do not live in or near any "bat caves." LOL

(even though there are bound to be some here and there, the majority of boas don't live in bat caves)
