Were these pinkie frozen? Live? Did you dangle it in front of the snake? Leave it overnight?
I would wait a week since you first tried, then offer him a pinkie again.

Welcome to RTC.

Now for the nitty gritty...

assuming you all of you husbandry is correct...I would simply wait until the next scheduled feeding (approximately 1 week) before attempting to feed again.

It could be something as simple as stress. Each individual reacts to stress differently and most likely this one is still getting used to his new environment.

I wouldnt worry. Just keep trying at the normal feeding time. Do not attempt to feed everyday...this can be stressful, too.

Good Luck

Im also interested in your responses to Johnny Utah's questions.

Yeah, I would trying leaving a pinkie in overnight with it. Just make sure you wait at least 5 days since the last attempt. You don't wont to stress the little lurker out.

Not time to worry yet, it's only been a couple weeks. I've had newborns go 3-4 weeks without eating. Give the nonfeeder a week alone, try not to bother him too much, then try feeding him again.

when mine wouldnt eat I tried once a week ( reg feeding schedule) for 3 weks andthen went to once every 2 weeks. after that first 2 week period she was more than eager to snatch the mouse. Then I went to war again to get heron rats. right now shes taking weaned rats, tho they are a bit small for her, Im getting her usedto rats and a regular eater before I step up. As fr the water... you may want to put a lil in theesince he/she is gona be staying an extended period of time.

Albino Boa wont eat

There are many reasons why a boa wont eat. Stress is a big factor as we all know. If a snake becomes stressed or frightened as it is fed it could be weeks or months before they eat again. I agree with Masahiko on this. Just leave a mouse in overnight. If at first you dont succeed try, try again. However, if your snake becomes too emaciated from not eating you may need to take more drastic measures. I would recommend a pinkie press as it is less stressful on the snake than force feeding. If its regurgitating liquid pinkie, then your next option is force feeding. I would not advise doing this unless you have a lot of experience as you could end up doing more harm to the snake than good. Good Luck

Mike
