?QUESTION? about my ball pyhton
ok well just like the title said i have a question about my ball pyhton. The question is should i move up to mice or stay with pinkies? (down below is a picture of him hes about 22 inches) i feed him two pinkies every tuesday should i move up today to a small adult mice? he does well on the two pinkies tho and his body is not that big.
the reason why i am asking is because some people feed their 12 inch ball pyhtons an adult mice 7 to 10 days what should i do? keep feeding him pinkies till the next shed?

If I were you, I would switch him to rats. A rat the size of the biggest part of his body or a little smaller should be perfect. Looking at the pictures, I would say pinkie rats would be about the right size.

i think you can actually start feeding him adult mice, mine started eating them when he was a little over a foot long and yours is close to two so i'd say you're good to go.

I started my newly hatched ball pythons on pink rats. Anything smaller for most of them is just too small.
They are now eating large pink rats/small fuzzy rats and growing like weeds. If your baby will take a pink rat, I'd definitely more it up.

well i tried to feed him rat pubs but he just striked at it and then got the taste in his mouth and let it go then i tried to feed him the biggest pink mice i can find and without hesitation he striked at it and ate it in know time but next week i am going to rub the rat pub with the mice so he can taste the mice and see what happens
if you think thats good or if you have a better way please let me know!

I always feed my ATB's live rats. Sometimes to this day they will still strike, constrict, kill and then drop the rat! They have always been healthy eaters but from time to time they wont eat what they killed. If your snake does this dont stress out. If at first you dont succeed try, try again (the old moniker can be applied to more than feeding)
