.. it's a female Sceloporus olivaceous preparing a nest-hole beside the walk near the door to the snake-room. Here's more.

It took her several hours to finish the job and cover the nest. She paid little attentionn to me. The Texas spiny lizards can live for several years and they get to accustomed to people.

They do look like they get accustomed to people. That one in the tree there looks completely relaxed. Cool photo too.
