Most aggresive N.A. snake
I have gone toe to toe with some of the most aggresive non venomous snakes in N.A. and the black racer is definatly the most aggresive.

Racers can be tough guys.
I had an encounter with a large female blue racer. She was about a hundred yards out in a field that had been tilled and nothing was growing in it yet (early spring). I thought catching her was going to be easy. She ran at first, but when that didn't work for her; she raised up and charged me several times. The guy who was with me backed off to a safe distance....about twenty yards LOL. I caught her by taking my shirt off and throwing it over her head. Neat snakes.

Racers are aggressive when handled or cornered in the wild but coachwhips, texas ratsnakes, and a LOT of various watersnakes make racers look like fuzzy bunnies.
