help with geckos

i have been keeping geckos and anoles on the side of my 14 aquariums that i could go on and on about and how much i love them,
ive had two geckos prolly full grown and have kept them seperate in ten gallon tanks i know there pretty cramped in there
ive noticed when there out of the tank there not to friendly, but have to put them into one tank because my moms says two lights and heaters take up to much electricity (Guess my fish tanks dont :confused1 so i was wondering what size tank i should get if i wanted to keep a group of geckos im assuming i will have to buy opposite sex geckos to geti rid of any agression which there probably will be
i also have some dumb questions like how muany inches of substrate should you put in the tank i usually have and inch should i put more?
also i saw san that they could dig in and it would would hold is this a good investment
also anyone in ct with mature geckos theyd like to give to me i will pay a decent price

Before grouping your two leopard geckos together, make sure that they're not both males. Males should not be housed together, however, you can have several females with one male. They should be similar in size to prevent bullying. For two or three leos, I would suggest a 20 gallon/20 gallon long tank.

If you still wanted to keep them separate, you could always get a bigger tank and just put a separator in the middle.

Put as much substrate so that the geckos can still feel the heat from the UTH. If you want, you could just stick to one layer of paper towels like we do :P

The sex of your leo can be determined after 4-5 months of age. Compare your leos to the following image:
