I've only got one, I walk around lopsided

Hey guys, I have just bought my first snake(have a feeling he won't be the last) from a friend on Sunday. At his last shed he was almost 4 feet long, he's a beauty. I really lucked out because I was able to observe him for several months before making my decision. He's always been a good eater, a med rat every 2 weeks, but has always eaten live. He had one the day I brought him home, I held the rat by the tail and withing a fraction of a second he had the rats mouth shut in a bite and was coiled all arround him. I know its safer to feed them dead rats, but how soon should I try to start getting him to eat dead rats and any suggestions on how to change him over, if I should at all. I don't let the rat go and he attacks and eats it right away. Any suggestions will be welcomed. Thanks

I've got one normal ball, but I've always wanted a pied. They're just so expensive. The ball I do have is a sweetheart though. Anyone ever buy from RCReptiles.com? Just wondering how they are as a breeder - based on their website and prices, they look respectable. I signed up for their email notifications which seems to work, and I'm waiting to see if they hatch any pieds and what they'll cost.

I have one ball. Do I need to buy another one to be a member of this group?
