I think Apollo has mites!
Just got home from Duke, and went to check on his shed status... shed looked good, but there were all these little tiny dots crawling on him... and all over me, once I picked him up.
I'm not sure where they came from, as he's been in isolation, and this is the first time I've seen them!
AGGGHHHHHH!

Sorry to hear. Where Responsible Reptile Keepers Connect! - FAQ
The second mite treatment worked great for me, but the first one seems much safer.

use nix lice shampoo. mix one full bottle in one gallon of water. put that diluted mixture in a spray bottle, and shake well before using. spray the snake and its cage. if spraying the cage , remove waterbowl for a day or two, so the snake doesnt ingest any of the nix. if the snake has mites, a close inspection should show them trying to find a safe spot away from the nix which is usually the snakes face. if you know the snake has mites and are treating it - id suggest moving the snake into a rubbermaid tub or rubber tub, and heavily spraying so that the water pills up on it. then clean out the cage and spray it heavily. Repeat this every 5-7 days for 3 to 4 treatments. if you have more than one snake, chances are they all have mites and you will need to treat everyone and all there enclosures as well as the nooks and cranny's, the carpets, and racks - any place a mite can hide or lay eggs.

RID, NIX, or any common lice spray are the same thing as provent-a-mite. Really, we're not just saying it's "like it" , it IS it.
The ingredients are the same.
99.5% Inert Gases
0.5% Permetrin
Just check to make sure that's whats there and you'll be fine.

And That's exactly why i have used them in the past,Bought two cans of the PAM once then realized what the active ingrediant was. I just prefer the aerosol sprays because it Cut's out one step...Mixing.Just buy it and your done.

Mites update-Mass slaughter!!!
OK, so the other night, I used the lice shampoo/water method . Took everything out of the cage (gross little buggers were everywhere, and it looked like a fresh batch had just hatched!) put it all in the bathtub and soaked the**** out of it with the shampoo mixture.
I took poor Apollo (who had been soaking miserably in his water dish) and put him in a tote. Soaked him with the mix, too.
The cage was the trick. It's a home-made job that we inherited with a pair of beardies. The frame is oak, with plexi screwed to it with brass screws. Not fancy, but servicable. Unfortunately it creates ALL KINDS of hidey-holes for the devilish beasts to scamper into. I used more than 1/2 a gallon soaking that thing down. Of course the mix eventually ran out of the bottom, onto the floor... but I sprayed the floor too, so, OH WELL!
I keep checking on Apollo to make sure he's doing OK, and that the buggers are truely gone. So far, so good. I plan on repeating the process in a few days.
I still can't figure out WHERE the blasted things came from!!! He (or any of our family) hasn't been exposed to outside snakes, none of our other snakes are infested, he hasn't even been outside since the pics I posted a while back... I'm bumfuzzled!

Those little suckers and get up underneath the belly scales and lay dormant for months before exposing themselves.
.
Sounds like you are getting everything taken care of. Like you said, just keep doing a few more treatments and you should be in the clear after no time.
