i dont use substrate such as cypress mulch or aspen bedding. these somtimes hold mites and bugs in them that can harm your snakes. i use newspaper with flexiwatt.

I am a sliding door fan In most all cases, if you make them correctly, you can completely remove the glass and have full access to the cage, as well as glass will look nicer longer, as acrylic scratches easily, gets dirty easily, and tends to look like crap after a few years of use.

I would suggest contacting a GLASS store for heavy duty tracks, and maybe even making a litter dam, and having tracks and glass on the outside. You can probably contact a glass store online to see if you can purchase and have tracks shipped to you.

I prefer swinging, but I also have sliding. I'm not too pick about that.
