I'm no carpenter but i think this cage will be cool.8 by 4.

dude you gotta hot me up with the cage plans for this  this cage is looking awsome straight up, what did you go over it with also? that plywood wood looks alittle thin to what size is that? but i still admit that cage looks good

aye, as much support as the beams give.. 1/4 should be fine. It would take a great deal of weight centered in between the studs to do damage.

Which Tom, there are tons of us on here. The cage looks awesome! Did you already put a stain or lacquer on it? It looks dark for being fresh off the saw mill.
