Plexiglass Floor and UTH

Will a plexiglass bottom withstand the heat of an UTH? How hot does an UTH get? I have plenty of clearance under my enclosure. I'm installing a radiant heat panel, but want an UTH for belly heat.

UTH's can get pretty hot. It is always recommended to run them with a thermostat. If the thing is hot enough to damage plexiglass...its gonna burn your snake.

So keep your UTH attached to a thermostat and you should be fine. Make sure you waterproof the floor so the UTH doesnt get wet.

Hope this helps.

A thermostat or rheostat will work.
