New to site - looking for a small turtle

I am looking for a good, small, easy to care for turtle for my 10 yr old son. Suggestions?

I dont know much about turtles. but I think most of them get quite big...something to keep in mind when choosing a pet.

I suggest a leopard gecko if your heart isn't set on a turtle yet. They are really awesome, fun to handle and fairly easy to care for. I love them even though I don't have one anymore.

from my experiance box turtles are farely easy red ear sliders stay small but are not as easy because they mostly live in the water. but i dont know alot about them try this site you might find some good info there

Welcome , I would reccomend a tortise over a turtle, torts are much more personable. Russian torts are common and only get 7-8 inches.
