Justify this any way you must. The facts you are quoting are not completely facts but this is a losing battle, neither of you will bend on your outlook even a little to see what we are talking about. I do hope you have a great day.

No but see I do see what you are all talking about and had the skunk not sprayed the dog we probably would not have killed it. I feel the same way about animals that are in their own environment. At that point the skunk was out of its environment... in one that it didn't belong. We tried for many days getting rid of it in other ways like sprinkeling pepper around the part of the yard he would go in. Tried Vinegar tried a little of everything. This option seemed suitable for the situation we were in. SORRY IF NOBODY ELSE SEE"S THIS!

Well that's fine an dandy but there is a difference between shooting to kill and euthanization. It's the humane way to go about it. The skunk doesn't have to endure all the pain of getting shot. And I bet dollars to donuts, that shooting it didn't cause an instant death. It cruel.

It doesn't matter if it's a skunk, Crow, or lizard. This is a reptile forum. You set yourself up for this when you bring up the intentional killing of an animal. Members (well most) see things in the best interest of the animals. Yeah sure, skunks can have rabies etc etc. But unless you were letting it in the house, or interacting with it outside, I see no immediate danger.
.
You would have got the same crap regardless of the critter.

Everyone has shared their point and I'm tired of getting all worked up over this everyday.
This is a goner.
