You are the first person I know to refer to an ackie as a witch, usually condescending names are reserved for larger more dangerous monitors. She looks lovely I have a hard time believing she is not the perfect angel

yea well read my R.I.P thread..she killed her sister who she was living w/ fine for over a yr....I love her..she has always been a sweetie to me..but I dont know why she did what she did... |

I just read it and I thought I would post here to help. Ackies can get up to 23 inches so the minimum space for one ackie should be 4'L x 2W x 4'T. So for two you would need a cage at least 8'L x 4'Wx 4'T. Odds are they reached sexual maturity (this happens after about 1 year) and they started to see each other as competition.
I hope that helps explain what may have caused it.

Are you sure she is a female (has she been endoscoped or everted) if she is, she could be getting gravid.

the trio were sold to me as females..I have had them for over a yr..she has always been more dominate and when I got them I saw her harassing one and adopted the other out..
how can I tell?
do I have to bring her to the vet?
and if she is gravid and the other was a male why would she kill him? |
