I have one that will break bulbs and one that doesn't even notice the lights are there . I think it depends on the curiosity level of the monitor. Can you not put a "caging" around the bulb to prevent them from getting to it?

Did you see the picture of the monitor pulling on the caging? All the lights are caged off, they still broke them.

Can you somehow put the light outside of the cage, shining through expanded metal or some other very strong meshing that they cannot break through?

No it would not get the cage bright enough nor warm enough. I just am going to have to find a better material to block the lights off with.

Let us know what you come up with!
I was thinking of having the light enclosed in a directional shade that would channel all the heat and light into the cage while still being on the outside.
