Sorry to hear about this, Raze. We all know how well you take care of your animals, and if you could have prevented it you would have.

Thank you everyone. I originally thought cholesterol in the diet was the problem, but after researching and discussing with the vet it seems the stones in animals tend to be more pigment stones than cholesterol stones, and no prevention methods are mentioned.
Thank you Julius, I still can not help but blame myself, but I appreciate your advice and knowledge on it.
Currently I cleaned all of the dirt out of the cage and washed it down with bleach. Right now our retic is in it, until her new cage is finished, the fiberglass is taking longer than we imagined.
I am going to push for a cuvier's dwarf caiman because their diet is not strictly insectivorous, but my fiance Rachel just wants to disassemble the cage and stick with 3 reptiles. So I am not sure what is going to happen.
Thank you all again,
Tom and Rachel

Speaking of which, how is Precious doing? Did she recover from her problem a few months back?

Brandon, Precious is doing much better! As soon as we put her in Tank's old cage, she got her appetite back and tried to eat me. The next day we fed her a 7.5lb rabbit. I can not wait to get her in the larger cage.
Froglegs, thank you.

I'm so sorry Raze. At least you know you gave Tank the best life you could.
But I don't think 3 reptiles is enough for you.

Thank you Brooksie, until I get a job 3 reptiles may be what Rachel and I need to get a little ahead instead of always wondering if we will make ends meet.
