He's pretty! I have no idea about dwarf anacondas. I saw a baby dwarf tiger retic at the vivarium the other week and fell in love. To bad I already have alot of snakes and I was told that the dwarf retics get up to 10+ feet.

hes small...but isnt a dwarf, Anacondas (yellows) grow fairly slow, and there is a huge difference from male to female, males are still usually 6-8 feet though...wait for a good conda expert to rign in though

Yellows are dwarfs compared to greens. Even the females stay under 15ft..

Something to think about as well.. The majority of Anacondas that are sold are Wildcaught. There are SOME Captive Bred out there.. but they are few and far between. The snake could have some type of parasite that is stunting its growth. Just a thought..
Nice looking snake regardless.

Thank you David_Loftin. Another thing to consider is many W/C reptiles do not adjust well to captivity and do not eat as well. I know stories of anacondas having to be fed water fowl to stimulate appetite.
Males can reach 7 + feet. My guess is the snake is not settling in well and should be left alone until it has had 2-3 good feedings in your care.
