i try to handle karma everyday if not every other day to keep her docile as she is growing. if i open her cage and she seems a bit grumpy i let her be as we all know females have their days lol jk.
she is still unsure about coming out of her cage, she might hiss at me but never acts on it, never strikes or even acts like she is going to she just hisses sometimes until she is out, then she is a perfect angel. im assuming this is from previous abuse, and with time the "hissy" fits will go away.

It was good seeing you again David. I am glad you talked to Bob, so you know I am not making this stuff up. She was a beautiful Rock I can not believe she broke the glass of 4 enclosures.
pythonguy give it time. Precious is only nasty when it is feeding time but it took about a year to get her used to being handled and her not flipping out.

Can I play? I don't have the monsters that you guys do, Colombian boas are as big as I will go (although I would love an albino retic... not sure how much I believe in 'dwarf' retics yet.).
Here's a pic of Lemondrop, my 10 yr old female albino boa, she's around 6.5'
My largest boa is 19 years old and about 8' but I don't have any recent pics of her. I'll try to get some soon. |
