karma update

so we remeasured karma today and came up with 7 foot 2 inches instead of 8 foot. its so hard to get a accurate measurement. but i think that is closer to right. anyways thought i would let you know.

Good news, how old is she.? My normal burm is 5 foot 6 inches right now "she went into shed yesterday" and she is around 8-9 months old and my albino is 4 foot 3 inches "she finally made the switch to rats 2 weeks ago" and she is in the 7-8 month old range.

I have no clue how old she is, she was a rescue so i dont know her background, when i took her in she was emaciated and very ticked off. from the way i took it i think she will be a year old in may, as she was between 4-6 months in november her age is really unknown i know and i dont know how much her growth was stunted do to her being starved. but she is in great shape, got a clean bill of health from the vet her last weight in march was 30lbs. she eats a f/t rabbit every 2 weeks. and she is a perfect peach now.

Thanks for the update, taking in an abused animal is always a gamble, you may end up with a stunted or runt, but truthfully many bounce back pretty well once put in a good environment and fed when hungry. Good luck with her, health is far more important than size.

I hope you want a very big snake, because based on the information you provided she has a very good chance of ending up on the larger side of the Python molurus bivittatus size scale.

i grew up with a 17 foot female burm. i played with her when i was 8-14 then my real mom and her fiance seperated. i no longer talk to my mom.

Her growth does not seem very stunted, in fact she seems to be growing very nicely. If you keep feeding her like you are "which is fine" she will grow up to be a giant sanke. If she was really stunted she would not be any where near 8 feet in one year, you should expect around another 4-5 feet in length by next year and a ton of girth.
