Musky the Mud Turtle
Yes, original I know. Anyway, I've had this little guy for a little over a week now but have been neglecting on the necessary update with photos. Bad I know, but to be fair my camera batteries have been dead. Anywho, here's my new little guy!
I believe he is a striped mud turtle, but he doesn't have the stripes down his shell but has the facial markings.
Being a little shy..
Coming out a bit more
That's my newest cutie, hope you liked!

Aww thanks guys! I'm glad you all like him.
I saw him in a local reptile store and he was sleeping in a fake plant and too cute for words, so I made the silly boy who happened to be with me at the time buy him for me.
He's slightly larger than a quarter. Mud turtles usually only get up to 4", so he'll never get very big and this is mostly why I chose him! I've had florida cooters and red ears in the past and they get way big.
Forgot to add that he tries to eat pretty much anything until he realizes its not food LOL.. that shell in the first pic he tried to eat numerous times at first. However I catch minnows out of my backyard and he enjoys chasing them around (however there's one thats appeared to be too elusive) I also have hatchling turtle food pellets, but I prefer to give him the minnows.

I wish I had minnows in my back yard. My turtles (Jamaican Slider - huge - and an unknown species ) have to make do with the occasional slug or caterpillar. Apart from that their main diet is cat food, which seems to be very good for them and much appreciated! One day I will learn how to post pictures here and actually do just that.
