Nice. Those are some really pretty horses. I know where some wild draft horses may still be. A few years ago, my dad and I were out walking the old fields of the tobacco farm where he grew up in NC. We actually went there to hike to where the graves of his still born brothers are. My grandmother had 6 boys, no girls. The first two didn't make it and were buried on the family property. The house and barns have been gone for years. Someone was living in a trailer at some point but it's gone too now. There were a few horses on the old place just running wild. They were obviously not pets, scarred, dirty and matted. Healthy looking though...I was calling them DraftStangs lol. Nothing holding them there but plenty of old farmland turned pasture land still rich with apple trees my grandfather planted and several streams to keep them happy ..and it's pretty private out in the middle of nowhere in the smokey mtns. Good luck catching them though. It's rich land but it's near vertical. Not too many people are still willing to farm or develop places like this. Walking 20 feet in any direction is a serious workout

It's pictures like these that always make me change my mind on what kind of horse I want to get. I love them all, but I can only decide on one type! I'd love to do eventing with my next horse (drafts though awesome, aren't really the most suitable) but I'd almost just be willing to do whatever a Perch could do just to have one, so pretty.

In fact, do you know where she got her horses? Or did she breed them herself? They are honestly gorgeous and I'd be interested in looking into one, I particularly love the dressage one!

Have you ever heard that the percherons supposedly have a little Arabian influence? I never thought much of it till this photo of the gray. I can almost see it in that one. I don't remember ever seeing one before that color.
