Oooch! That does look like a nasty lil nip! Maybe get the snake out before you get the food in the future! Perhaps wear gloves when handling the food if not. I worry about that too when handling the food THEN getting the snake. How much soap does it take to wash of the scent of dead rat?? lol!!

yea imagine a 7ft burm lol thats what dustin got, constricted up his arm and had just her tail around his neck CRAZY stuff, the vet told us to use rubbing alcohol, I am sure has the same effect so it prolly does not matter which you use but the vet told us to get like a little spray bottle with some rubbing alcohol and put it on the stream option (as to avoid rubbing alcohol in the eyes) and spray it on what is being bit and they will let go as well as release their constriction.

Nice tag! Glad you grabbed the camera, it's always the first thing I think of after getting bitten too.
As far as getting the snake off.. it can be a little difficult especially if it's your hand that smells like the rat. I've always been able to get them to let go just by holding the snake behind the head.. it takes a few moments (during that time, sometimes they crush down a little.. ouch!) but they've always let go. Once I had to drag the snake out of the room (she's over 7') as she was latched onto my hand, the movement and getting away from the rat smell was all it took. Then try their head in water or using the alcohol as mentioned, just try to be careful not to actually pour the liquid down the glottis.
