do they always change colors?
hi everyone. i have a ball python i was told it was a female and i have had her since dec 14, o6. she is over 3 ft long and about as big around as a baby bottle maybe just a tad smaller. about 3 weeks after i got her I brought home
a friend for her because i was told at the pet store it was ok to keep them together, well on sep 28, 07 i went to pull one out and they were stuck together{they seperated afterwards} but i don't know how many times they did this without me knowing.she has never missed a meal{not even when i caught them breeding} allthough he went 3 weeks without eating.
well then 3 or 4 weeks ago she went into her normal shed{she sheds every 2 months or so} afterwards she looked normal and shiny like always but now she has changed to a darker color kinnda like when they get ready to shed
but she's been like this for about 2 weeks now and her eyes never turned or anything and she's still eating. after i caught her with him she started eating like mad the rats were bigger and she'd eat more then normal but now she's only eating real small baby rats and less of them i'm not sure what to think of this i read on marcus jane ball python site that when or near ovulation they can glow i'm not sure what that {glow} means. i'm in need of advice so any
thoughts would help me dearly. Thanks, Sparkle

the pet store owner should be smacked for telling you that, babies, IMO are ok, but 2 adults, NO they will breed if they can, and if you arent reasdy for it, your female will go through a pregnancy and have all the eggs die, unless you read up and learn how to deal with the eggs, good luck i think Marcus Jaynes website tells you how to care for eggs aswell
