How big?
What is the growth "rate" of a Burmese Python? we all know the end result, but i'm curious as to how it gets there assuming that its being fed responsibly. for example:
Birth size:.....?
end of year 1:_____ft
end of year 2:________ft.
end of year 3______ft.
and so on.
sorry if this has been asked before, but i'm very curious and i have never known anyone else who has owned a burmese before and i want to know everything i can about mine
thanks

It really just depends on the snake and how much you feed it. I've seen 1 year olds pushing 10ft. At the same time, I've seen adults that don't even reach 10 ft.

like already said it really depends on the snake and genetics of it something like a thread that was made here not long agao about 2 females being different sizes when one was older than the other and the older one was little than the youngest and growing at a slower rate. it really all depends on the amount of food its feed, the genetics, and well male or female maybe. some males get bigger than females so really it just all depends on genetics when it all comes down to it.

Yep, I agree with what has been said. Cages temps also play a role as well. There isn't a time line to follow in snakes. Regardless of the species, they all grow differently. Some grow faster, other slower. Even litter mates kept with the exact same setup, temps, feeding regimen will astound you on how differently they will grow. Makes it fun.

ya im the one with the 2 diff size burms. they have the same temp and everything had the same size tank and everything. it all depends on how big they were at birth. my older baby got about 5 inches every month since i got her. my little one ive had for almost a month and she has gotten 6 inches so its about right but my little one was a lot bigger at birth.

I really would disagree.... Birthing size is no indication to the final size of the animal....birthing size changes due to so many variables including length of incubation...size of the whole clutch...nutritional availability during gestation....temp of incubation........the whole litter runt thing really doesnt apply to snakes
