We have similar serpents, lol. My male BP seems big too, but I haven't measured him.
Does he only accept mice now?

Yeah he went off feeding for about 6 months last year during breeding. When he started feeding again he would only eat mice, for some reason he won't touch a rat now.....

You know that is a question so many have asked and so few have an answer for lol....
I'll be honest I got rid of over half of my bp's last year. I just didn't have the time or patience for them. I know that sounds bad, but I have so much on my plate already that I just couldn't do it. I love bp's and still have a considerable amount, but wow they are picky lol. I have corns, boas, and jcp's that will fall out of there cage trying to get at the food. The bp's seemed to curl up and run. I do have one bp though that eats like a Corn. He is a monster and eats anything anytime..
They are great snakes.....Who know's maybe it's me doing something...

Eh, my male BP goes off feed frequently too but he eventually takes something after a while.
