Yea, I'm pretty sure he's just a spaz. haha
I think when I get some extra money I'll get him some more vertical cage decor so he can climb less awkwardly

haha! I was actually thinking like that the other night, he was stretched way out off of his log and had the perfect ATB pose. It was so funny. I tried to get a pick but he lost his balance before I could snap it

Something is wrong Brooksie. Ball Pythons are very nocturnal. Anytime you see one cruising the cage in the daytime, SOMETHING(S) is bad wrong. Now it's your turn to figure out what. Just accepting that he's a total spaz...doesn't work. If you are heating the cage with a light bulb, try doing without the light bulb and using just a heat pad first and just see what happens. Your temps are perfect for a boa...still a wee bit warm for a ball. But honestly not that far off that it should be causing him to spaz...unless your temps aren't reading accurate. Using those little stick on thermometers?

Ours will cruise like that when they are hungry & hunting, otherwise, they're slugs.

I use a probe thing to measure temperatures because I find that the stick on ones are inaccurate. And mine is pretty much brand new.
He just ate last night.
What could be wrong with him?

Now don't get me wrong. Its not a constant high activity level. He chills.... He's chillin right now. But he does move a lot like 3 or 4 times a day.
Maybe he's just developed these patterns because he was slowly being cooked and starved for 6 months prior to me rescuing him?
He now eats regularly and has fresh clean water and a really awesome house and his temps are a little high apparently but nothing too concerning (Ill see if I can knock them down a bit)
Now I'm worried.

Are you using a t-stat? Some pics of the set-up would help to. I wouldn't worry THAT much, but some pics of the set-up may help.
Also how old is he? Have you ever bred him? Did the previous owner breed him or did you buy him as a hatchling?
Your temps sound fine to me I keep all of mine at 90 with a Helix. I have a couple of young girls (5-6 months old) that are active day and night for a couple of days and then sleep for 3 or 4. It just depends on the snake and how they are with there environment. I have some that are super shy and never come out and some that never stop moving. There all in the same racks with the same temps and humidity. Every snake is different.
If he is eating, defecating, and shedding properly than I wouldn't worry to much. Were not vets nor are any of us really experts. The best we can do is give somewhat sound advice by the information that you give us. And from what you have told us you have done your part in providing a good environment for him.
I have a couple that I decided not to breed this year (males), and there acting the same way. There out searching for a mate, because it's just that time of year and that's what there used to. THERE HORNY LOL.......
Keep us updated....
