dead on road (DOR)
wish i wasnt kicking off this forum...
few weeks ago i was taking a delivery out to a house, when the car infront of me swerved into the other lane, oncoming traffic.
i soon saw why. they swerved to hit a snake. a beautiful, BIG California King... head smashed flat, still twitchng. bout 3-3.5 feet, and pretty fat. my guess is that it was gravid. i moved it off to the side of the road.
it made me angry, and sad.

RE: dead on road (DOR)
Sometimes people really shock me with how cruel they can be. King snakes are gorgeous and this makes me sad. I am sorry you had to see it, I probably would have started crying (cos I'm a little soft). Apparently some people encourage this kind of thing. There is a little boy at the day care my friend and I volunteer at that will go out of his way to try and smash (and sometimes succeed) little lizards. He says his dad says its ok and even bought him an ice cream once for "getting a big one." Sometimes people are horrifying.

People can be ugly, and ignorant. I'm so sorry you witnessed this.

RE: dead on road (DOR)
I would have chased after them and hit them with my car. Its kindof nice that riding a bike gives you some ability to damage peoples cars without getting into too much trouble
