My 02 female is about 13 lbs and 6 1/2 feet. I think you really have to be careful about raising Suris too fast (not that you do that). This may be an example of what happens if you do. I'm sorry about your loss. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
On a side note, be patient with Jackie. I think she is going to give you a special litter some day.

dank im sorry for your loss, the pictures were very informational, i have never seen the inside of a snake before so it was a good learning experience. you take great care of your animals, and you care very much for them, you will get your babies soon enough, you deserve them

The general consensus seems to be that there is generally a little faty deposits around the heart but that this case seems to be a bit much. Thought that may not be the reason for her death I am sure it didn't help. Perhaps that, along with the stress of a long breeding season for her did her in. On a side note, Jackie was raised by Kemper ruth the first few years of her life. You can't raise BCC much slower than that
