RIP Curtis!
Curtis was my Dumeril's Boa.I rescued him a little while back but he was too far gone when I got him,and the damage done was permanent.The vet and I did everything we could but he gave up the fight last Thursday.His little body just couldn't fight anymore....in the last days I could tell he was exhausted.I had to wait awhile to post this because it really is heartbreaking for me and I needed some time. He was such a wonderful snake and I love him dearly.I made him as comfortable as possible and I hope he was least somewhat relieved while he was here.
It still makes me cry to think about him....he was so special to me.....
RIP,my sweet little guy!I will love and miss you always!

Dangit, I was hoping he was doing better. I'm sorry to hear that.
He may have had problems that were too far advanced to treat, it's hard to know with snakes if they will fully recover or not.

That sucks...That IMO is the worst thing about a rescue. You do all you can and still you have to watch that and feel helpless about it. At least your heart was in the right place  . Sorry for your loss. |
