If someone can blow $50,000 on a snake, I think they are not too concerned about feeding costs and the cost to hire a snake cage cleaner. LOL.

I would pay maybe $40,000 tops! (j/k. If I had $40,000, I would have much bigger goals for it than a deformed snake.)

I've known about this guy since he hatched. Anthony Caponetto produced it and according to his posts on the Morelia forums it is doing great. Only one of the heads eats, the one that has the straight shot down the throat.
From all I've seen, it's quite possible the snake will live quite a long time with proper care. I have no idea what the actual cost was, though I do know that both parties were very happy with the deal. Along with the snake the zoo got some rare geckos, too.
Here's a link to the complete thread on the MoreliaPythons board if anyone is interested:

yes, its quality of life is definitely poor, and doubtful that it will see adulthood. however it is LIFE none the less and should be cared for accordingly. i think that in todays society we look for the aberrant animals because weve become bored with the normal ones. How is this any different than someone who loves albinos!? It is an abnormality that is not natural and should not be propagated.
