Incredible is correct...
Meaning, lacking credibility...
While it is certainly likely that there are a couple of escaped large reptiles in this area it is doubtful that they would have found the remains of any animal that one of these reptiles chose to feed on. For example, snakes don't generally have the tools to decapitate an animal. Did these folks bother to interview anyone with actual knowledge about herps before printing that garbage? Sorry for my 2 cents, I just really hate to see animals (especially herps) misrepresented and misunderstood!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the dead cats...they were obviously chewed up by some other predator...
It's so sad that who ever the owners are, their behavior is responsible for the majority of the troubles that herpers have trying to live in their own communities...
I wouldn't be suprised in the least if the city or county government decides to go on a lawmaking binge and pass some restriction on snakes and use this incident as proof of threat to public safety...
It's the stupidity of the individual owners that is the threat to public safety...not the snakes...

Unfourtantly this is all to common, to many people buy these big boids, crocs, etc.. and either dont relize or dont care that they get big and poetentially deadly. If only people would think before they buy these animals.

That was my first thought as well, since when can a snake decapitate anything. This is exactly the ignorant crap that fuels idiots' fire. Its why when you type "snake food" into CL search, you get tons of ads for kittens and puppies "this little kitten is not for snake food!" I am constantly insulted by ads like this, and say so to the posters. reptile owners are not shady and malicious, adopting peoples pets under false pretenses to feed them to their pets. Really, I have no sympathy for people who are breeding their cats and dogs, contributing to an over-population problem in the first place.
