Are large boids "dangerous"?
Well, as much as some would like to think they are domesticated "pets" there are still some very real risks involved with owning and handling them. Here are a few examples.....
Python eats student zookeeper in Venezuela
USATODAY.com - Pet python kills man in Indiana
Pet python killed Va. Beach woman | TOP STORIES | WVEC.com | News for Hampton Roads, Virginia
Now these links are to issues that can occur if inexperienced, negligent, or risky practices are used when dealing with such animals. There is no human who is strong enough not to be overpowered if a sizable boid gets a good wrap on them. Please make sure you do your home work before you take the step to purchase one of these animals. If you already own one (or more) please don't allow yourself to be seduced into believing that it can't happen to you. Please use some common sense.
EDIT: By the way, this thread isn't open for discussion and is meant more to be a reminder than a debate as to which ones are and are not dangerous or what is good reptile keeping. There are many other threads on this site that I am sure will satisfy that need.
