S.F. Petco - Potrero Hill

There are only two places in San Francisco to buy mice. That's right, in one of the biggest cities in the world, you are limited to two locations.

One of the locations I refuse to do business with because they are rude s.o.b.'s.

So that leaves me with Petco in the Potrero Hill district.

When I made it too the reptile section, the lady tells me that they are out of mice. :cursing::cursing::cursing:

I do want to give them props on a couple things though:

1. In the mouse/rat/hamster/etc section, they have sheets of paper up explaining why it's better to feed herps frozen rodents. And underneath the explanations, they gave some tips for converting from live. Very cool!

2. The reptile section was immaculate. Each setup had fresh water, fresh substrate, cool little hides, and no crap or urine lying around. I figured this was because they just finished cleaning. My jaw dropped when I saw the lady roll up her cart to start the cleaning process.

Conclusion:

One thumb down for running out of mice when I went all the way over to the other side of the city.

Two thumbs up for being the nicest Petco I have ever seen.

wow ive never seen a petco like that and i worked for them for over a year but that was 8 years ago.

They have been working towards improving from what I can see, as well.

Wow that is a trek, Johnny! Atleast you can stop off in Castro to pick up some new threads while you are at it. And of course say whats up to all my primos in the Mission District.

Man, I actually miss that city a whole heck of a lot. :( I think I am gonna come up for the gathering.

I was actually planning on skating some choice spots in the Mission, but I was so upset about the no mice thing that I came home.

I hope you can make it for the gathering. You're primos in the mission were asking about you. lol
