If you can find a mosquito that is on welfare and doesnt want to get a job, I'd be glad to get the bug spray out.

haha that has to be the most subtle punchline i have seen and it was pretty funny. maybe if they didnt hide their food stamps in the work boots they would be ok.

Whatever they do, they shouldn't kill the entire species. For all those scientists know, they could hold the cure for cancer...

Maybe freeze a few in ice, then kill the rest. :/

whew...Now someone's Mom can be proud...trying to explain to her sewing circle that her son genetically modifies mosquitoes for a living has had to have been raising some eyebrows.

I did a quick 5 min. search and found a few references to spraying for mosquitoes around the Danube in Poland but didn't see a direct reference...
"they tried that on the banks of the Danube and all of the life in the wood disappeared, the mosquito's being near the bottom of the food chains of many animals

just think what all eats mosquito's and their larvae birds ,toads ,frogs ,lizards ,fish ,other insects like dragon flies, then think what all eats those things ,foxes, other birds, weasels, snakes, etc. and then what eats all who eats them ."

All species on this planet evolved for some reason (except man as far as I can tell!) and it is all a delicate balance, 'skeeters have their place. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way about snakes.. "what good do they do", "we can just poison the rats", etc.
