that was a interesting article. although personally i would rather just wipe out the entire mosquito population then try to cure them

yeah i genetically alter them to,...................... to death. nothing a can of bug spray and a lighter cant fix, and wipe out a whole crowd of them.

i hate mosquitos i swell up everytime i get bit
and if we did wipe mosquitos out that would be disastrous to the ecosystem i think we need to invent a cure way easier lol

They fund the repellant industry, providing American jobs.
Mosquitoes do not have benefits per say although some animals have adapted to eating them. They are a predatory parasite which is an opportunistic organism and has no real advantage to its surrounding ecosystem.
One can argue that they steal protean form one source and provide it to another. Another argument is that they spread disease to control overpopulation. Either way, they are not necessary for the ecosystem to survive.
found that stuff but youre right they dont really do anything but they might have a hidden chemical in them that cures diseases !!

I'm not for wiping out anything on this planet. I'm not a tree hugger by any means, but I'm definately not for exterminating a species of anything... unless theyre on welfare and not trying to get jobs. If you can find a mosquito that is on welfare and doesnt want to get a job, I'd be glad to get the bug spray out.
