Most of the sterilite tubs I can get locally have gaps in the lids so there is some air, but not enough for proper airflow.

i usually take a standard drill and drill 4 holes on each side and 3 in the top. however its hard to keep the air circulating. so what i do is position a fan above them so that i dont have to remove the lids to circulate the air. the last thing you want is a mold problem!

20 longs arent tall at all so even if you stood it up on its side, their would be very little room to move around. Just my opinion..
