Question Green Tree Python Spine Question

I often hear and read people saying that you cant handle a Green Tree Python until it is a year old. They say it is because the Spine is very delicate because the snake is so small. My question is, if Corns, Kings, Milks, and alll those others are even smaller then a baby green tree (much smaller) then why is there no warning for them? It seems that when ever someone wants their first snake they get one of the ones I listed as a baby. Since they are so much smaller, wouldnt their spine be even more delicate?

thnx alot

I am pretty sure it has to do with the fact that they are arboreal and have pre-hensile tails. Combine that with their tiny size and you can dislocate the vertebrae in the spine causing kinks.

Very good question, Owen.

as adults there fun to handle, they arent near as fragile as emeralds either, so that makes it alot easier to take em out once in awhile
